Tutorial Developer Stan Freeda

Stan is the e-Learning Consultant for the NH Department of Education. His primary role is project coordinator for OPEN NH, the NH e-Learning for Educators Initiative. The focus of e-Learning for Educators is to bring high quality online professional development to New Hampshire educators. Stan received his bachelors’ degrees in both physics (BA, 1980) and biology (BS, 1982) from Wilkes University in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. A study of the ecological succession that occurred in Candlewood Lake, CT earned Stan a Master of Arts in limnology and oceanography (1985) from Western Connecticut State University. Stan taught a variety of sciences at both the middle and high school levels prior to accepting his position at the New Hampshire Department of Education. While teaching high school biology, physics, chemistry, and environmental science, Stan continued his studies in education, earning a Master of Science in Education from the University of New England in 2005. Stan has also taught science at the college level, teaching face to face and online in the sciences. Stan has been certified to teach and develop online courses from Franklin Pierce University, Virtual High School, and EdTech Leaders Online. He has just recently earned a graduate certificate in Educational Technology and Online Learning through EDC and Antioch University Seattle.
